Welcome New Members 2022

My name is Ryan Sharpe, creator of boosh art, and I am an artist from Pollock Pines, CA. I have always dabbled in artistic  expression but in 2018 I started to create a style of my own using a variety of mediums including spray paint, ink pens,  watercolors and acrylics. I used these materials to explore different interpretations of galaxies, landscapes, and imaginary creatures.

During the pandemic I moved to Hawaii and was inspired by the beaches, the lush greenery, and the laid-back surf culture and used acrylics and my imagination to create inventive and unique creations that ranged from rocket birds to surfer girls. While I continue to be inspired by Hawaiian culture, my love for Northern California has begun to pop up in my work and my interpretation of the Lake Clementine Trail was featured by the Auburn State Recreation Area.

As a father of five, I love creating pieces that make my kids smile and as an artist I love creating pieces that allow me to express my vivid imagination in a format that is approachable and fun.

Hi I’m Chad Vander Veen. My family and I have been Folsom residents for 20 years. I am active in local groups like Folsom Junior Bulldogs, Folsom National Little League, and the Carl Sundahl PTA. I’ve also been a candidate for Folsom City Council in the past.

In the last two years I’ve started exploring Folsom – and other places – through photography and decided I should join the Folsom Arts Association.
