Clay Connections

The Folsom Arts Association is excited to announce new additions to our Ceramics Enrichment Program, created to support and connect clay artists.

Our first addition is “Clay Connections,” which is being offered in partnership with the City of Folsom, a casual clay club meeting at 48 Natoma on the third Thursday of each month when a Ceramics Program clay demo is not scheduled (see calendar below). These gatherings provide an opportunity to share artwork and ideas, discuss monthly topics, and participate in creative clay challenges that inspire experimentation. We have planned a few; participants will have input on the rest. It’s a welcoming space to exchange tips on techniques, glazes, and firing while connecting with fellow ceramic artists.

The second addition is “FAA Clay Connections,” a new Facebook group designed exclusively for ceramic artists. Participants may share photos of current work, ask questions about ceramic processes, and post topics of interest to the clay community. After becoming an FAA member, from Facebook, visit FAA Clay Connections and request to join the group.

To participate, you must be an FAA Member, an FAA Ceramics Program Member, or a current ceramics student at 48 Natoma. We encourage students to become members to enjoy the full range of programs. Membership is just $15 per year, with an option to become a full FAA member for $35 annually to further support FAA programs.
