Nancy Collins Workshop – June 2024

In this 2-day workshop, Nancy will help you find your voice through color, value, and movement. Her desire for you is to grasp the information and to figure out how to get the biggest bang for your buck! Regardless of the subject of your artwork, what makes your painting outstanding? How can you draw your audience in and keep them up close and personal?

The values of her paintings are always dramatic calling to the viewer from across the room. However, what holds their attention is the subtle color shifts in the work not visible from a distance. It becomes obvious as you get up close and personal with the painting.

Nancy also says that, “Watercolor has always been a challenging medium, but with a little chemistry and the ability to let go, your painting can virtually create itself! I can hear you now, ‘All I want to do is paint, I don’t want to think about it!’ I get it! But I also want to create a situation of success for your work.”

Nancy Collins is a much loved and sought-after watercolor instructor and she has spent more than 50 years making art. She oozes creativity from every pore. She has executed everything from sculpture to print making, but her true art soulmate is water color. Her work has been exhibited around the globe. She’s been featured in shows for Art in the Embassy, Mendocino Art Center, Stanford University and many others; and her work has been published in American Artist Magazine, Watercolor Magic, Mendocino Arts Center and Fioli Gardens to name a few.
