Exploring the Future for The Gallery at 48 Natoma

The Folsom Arts Association is working with the City of Folsom Parks and Recreation Department to explore possible operational efficiencies to support the continued operation of The Gallery at 48 Natoma. With the Gallery Manager position currently unfunded, we are exploring a volunteer-supported model that will help maintain gallery exhibitions and events for the community.

We are seeking FAA members who are interested in contributing their time, skills, and experience in several areas of gallery operations. Opportunities include exhibition coordination, working with artists, installation assistance, reception support, and promotion of gallery events.

SECTION 2 – AREAS OF INTEREST

We are looking for one volunteer to serve as Gallery Committee Lead who would help coordinate a small team of volunteers supporting gallery exhibitions.
Assist with planning exhibitions and coordinating with artists.
Communicate with artists regarding schedules, contracts, and exhibit requirements.
Help host exhibition openings and special events.
Provide technical assistance for intake of artists submissions using a gallery software program such as Jotform.
Assist with social media, publicity, and promotional outreach.
Assist with hanging artwork and preparing the gallery for exhibitions.
Available to help where needed.
Help review artist submissions and assist in selecting exhibitions.
