Robert Dvořák

Join us Thursday, February 10, for Robert Dvořák’s mini workshop – “Drawing Without Fear.”

Robert will be holding a mini workshop called “Drawing Without Fear.” It is based on his book with the same title. This will be an interactive demo with attendee participation.

Please come prepared to do a little drawing with a 9″ x 12″ sketch book, or 8.5″ x 11″ copy paper clipped to a board–foam core or cardboard, and a black ink pen! No pencils! We will have a few supplies on hand.

Robert has made drawing and watercolor fun and easy to learn for the last 35 years. He has taught at the University of California Extensions and at many community colleges and art centers in California, New York, and Hawaii. He has traveled extensively in the USA, Europe, Asia, and Central and South America, drawing and painting in 70 countries.

Robert has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He was awarded the Prix de Rome fellowship for postgraduate study at the American Academy in Rome. He received grants from the University of Oregon to make a film about Mykonos Greece and the California Art Council to promote art in elementary schools.

Robert’s work has been featured in American Artist Magazine, “Sketching While Traveling in Greece” and “Twenty Minutes to a Beautiful Figure” in Watercolor magazine. Robert has written and illustrated: The Pocket Drawing Book, Drawing Without Fear, The Magic of Drawing, Experiential Drawing, The Practice of Drawing as Meditation, Travel Drawing and Painting, and Selling Art 101.

Robert will introduce his newest book, “A Book About Nothing and Other Tips on Telling Topics.” Books will be available for purchase. Robert is happy to sign a copy for you.

It is going to be a great evening with some fun drawing!
