The FAA is thrilled to sponsor a Bus Trip to the Legion of Honor Museum to explore the life and works of Wayne Thiebaud on August 7, 2025.
This new exhibition, “Art Comes from Art,” features Thiebaud’s self-described “art thief” interpretations (and sometimes even direct copies) of the works of famous artists, such as Manet, Morandi, and Diebenkorn, as well as objects from his personal art collection that inspired him. Not only does the exhibition explore one of the most important and overlooked aspects of Wayne Thiebaud’s creativity – his passionate engagement with art history, many of the works in the show have never before been viewed by the public.

You do not want to miss this show. Registration is online.
Fee: Includes transportation (ADA-accessible coach with onboard restroom), onboard snacks and beverages, and entrance to the museum. Lunch is on your own. Bring your lunch to enjoy in the Garden Terrace or indulge in the Legion of Honor Café. Participants must stay within the museum grounds.

FAA Member / SFMFA Member: $75
Non-Member: $115
Non-Member / SFMFA Member $90
Prices are reduced by $25 for members or guests who are members of the San Francisco Museums of Fine Arts (SFMFA).
Please note: There are no refunds after July 24, 2025. (Exception: The FAA reserves the right to cancel the trip due to insufficient registration or unforeseen circumstances; payments will be fully refunded should this occur.)
A $10 processing fee will be charged for any requested refund.
Deadline to register is July 30, 2025.
