Exploring the Future of The Gallery at 48 Natoma
The Folsom Arts Association is working with the City of Folsom Parks and Recreation Department to explore possible operational efficiencies to support the continued operation of The Gallery at 48 Natoma. With the Gallery Manager position currently unfunded, we are exploring a volunteer-supported model that will help maintain gallery exhibitions and events for the community.
Current Status
Through its initial solicitation of interest [FAA/G-48 Interest Form], we have identified and met with a good variety of interested and experienced members who may be able to donate their time, skills, and experience in several areas of gallery operations. Such opportunities include exhibition coordination, working with artists, installation assistance, reception support, and promotion of gallery events.
While the initial solicitation form is still available on-line and hopefully will help build a “full bench” of individuals who can help support this venture, our main focus at this time is finding the right person to serve as the Gallery Coordinator/Committee Lead to oversee operations, volunteers, and serve a primary liaison between the City’s key staff responsible for Gallery operations and the FAA Board of Directors.
If you are interested – and in particular if you are interested in the Gallery Coordinator/Committee Lead position – please contact us via the FAA/G-48 Interest Form; or if you have suggestions of persons you feel might fill the bill, please let us know by contacting folsomartists@gmail.com.
For more information, please contact the Folsom Arts Association.
