Plein Air Paint-out at the Murer House in Folsom
Thursday, May 23, 2024
9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
WHERE: The Historic Murer House and Gardens
ADDRESS: 1125 Joe Murer Court in Folsom
This is a non-teaching event; we are there to experience painting on location, not to produce a masterpiece. We are there to have fun!
Giuseppe “Joe” Murer purchased the site of the Murer house in 1921. He built his residence in 1925, based on the architecture of his native Italy. The landscaping focused on fruit and nut trees, camellias and holly. Joe built a grape arbor with six varietals of concord grapes. In January 2022, the Murer House and Gardens was placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior.
The maximum number of participants is eight. Once on the grounds, a small donation to the Murer House is welcome.
