The show will be judged in two categories:  2D and 3D, with prizes for each category.

We are excited to announce an excellent opportunity for our members: The 2024 Spring/Summer Folsom Arts Association (FAA) Members’ Show at the Bank of America Gallery at the Harris Center at Folsom Lake College, from May 10 to August 18, 2024.

This show is open to all current FAA members. There is no theme for this show; members may choose one 2D or one 3D piece that best exemplifies the work that you do and fits the framing and size requirements outlined below. Work may be offered for sale, with the Harris Center retaining a 30% donation. The FLC Visual Arts Department will handle all artwork sales. Work not for sale should be entered as Not for Sale (NFS).

Artists Reception and the announcements of the awards will be held on Friday, May 10 – time TBA. The reception is open to the public.

Registration deadline is Monday, April 22, or before if full.

Show details
  • One entry per artist. Artwork must be original, no giclee. 
  • 2D (or 3D relief) work for hanging must have a wire or D-Rings on the back to allow proper hanging and securing of the piece. Sawtooth hangers are NOT permitted. Gallery wrapped art must be painted or printed on the sides and ready to hang with wire and D-rings. Poorly prepared artwork, work not meeting the standards set forth in these details, or work not ready for display will not be accepted. The maximum width for wall-hung artwork is 30 inches.
  • 3D art will be displayed on a table or pedestal. There are 15 pedestals, and one platform. 3D pieces that require special pedestal sizes or enclosed glass case will be the responsibility of the artist (off-white pedestal color requested).
  • Work offered for sale will have a 30% commission retained as a donation to the gallery. If you are not selling your art, please indicate Not For Sale.
  • Space is limited, first come, first served.
  • No applications accepted after Monday, April 22 (or before, if full).

The FAA and the Harris Center (Folsom Lake College) reserve the right to reject any work not meeting their criteria.

Steps for registering
  1. You must be a current FAA member in good standing to participate in the Members Show. Please verify your status at folsomarts.org/members. If you are not listed on the Members Directory – you are NOT a current member.
  2. If you are not a current member, visit folsomarts.org/membership to join or renew. You must do this prior to registering for the show.
  3. Registration includes the option to upload a JPG image of your artwork and artist bio. Your bio will be added to the FAA Members’ Show binder, which will be located at the art gallery. Bios are not to exceed one page. Your image may be used to promote the FAA Members’ Show.
  4. Click to register for the show.
Once registered
  1. Print and fill out the Los Rios Community College District Artwork Loan Agreement. The agreement is required when you drop off your artwork. Your work will not be accepted without this form!
  2. A W9 for Invoice Sales form will be required by the college if your work sells. The artwork sold will stay in the gallery until the show’s end. The gallery will arrange for the buyer to pick up the art.
  3. When dropping off your artwork, please place a typed label on the back with your name, artwork title, size, medium, and price (or Not For Sale).

Important Dates

Registration deadline: Monday, April 22 (or before, if full).

*Refunds: withdrawing from the show will incur a $5 processing fee when canceled.
No refunds after April 22.

Artwork drop off: Monday, May 6, from 8:30-10:30 a.m.
Art on display: May 10 to August 18, 2024.

Artists Reception: Friday, May 10 – Time TBA.
The reception is open to the public.

Artwork pick up: Monday, August 19, from 9-11 a.m.
