July 2023 – “FAA Show and Tell” Social

FAA’s July meeting will be our first “show and tell” social.

As many of you know, this year FAA is implementing a variety of new activities suggested by our members. For one such activity, folks have said they want to get to know other members better and learn more about what kinds of art others are creating.

In addition to enhanced refreshments, and in lieu of a guest-artist demo, this month we will be spotlighting the many talents of our members. Members are asked to bring one or two examples of their artwork to our meeting and to share a few words about themselves and their art.

We will also be distributing the reference photo for our August art challenge — where members are encouraged to use our selected photo reference as a jumping-off point for their work of art. The results can be created in any medium and style; finished artwork may be brought to our August meeting, and members may submit photos of their pieces to our Staying Connected Facebook page at folsomarts.org/fb-group-staying-connected.

As always, guests are welcome to join our meeting.
