Join us Thursday, July 14, for Dale Laitinen’s watercolor demonstration.
Dale Laitinen’s demo encompasses the process from sketchbook sketch to final brushstroke. Using primarily transparent watercolors, Dale will paint and explain his thoughts as the work progresses. His intent is a highly designed, full sheet watercolor, of the high country-wilderness.
Dale Laitinen paints the natural landscape because of its promise of an infinite portal to the imagination. His paintings marry the underlying design of nature with objective reality to go beyond the surface appearance of things.
Dale is a graduate of Modesto Junior College and San Jose State in California with a degree in Fine Art. He is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society and Watercolor West and travels widely teaching workshops and is a national art juror. He is on the panel of jurors for the National Watercolor Society 2022 International Open Exhibition.
Dale lives and paints in a Pine and Cedar Forest in Pioneer, CA, in a house, not in the trees!
