FAA Members’ Ceramics Show & Tell
The final meeting of the Folsom Arts Association’s pilot Ceramic Enrichment program will feature YOU!
The meeting will be a “FAA Member’s Show and Tell” – an opportunity for ceramic artists to show their work and tell us a bit about your style and or techniques. Seeing and hearing from other artists working with clay as a medium is a great way to get inspired, learn new techniques, get creative sparks and enjoy meeting other artists working with clay.
Bring a piece or two of a work you created that exemplifies your style. It does not matter if you are brand new to working in clay or have been working for years, we all learn from seeing what others are doing at any stage in their development!
We also want to hear from you about what you might like to see for demonstrations and workshops next year. Bring your thoughts on what techniques, styles and forms of clay creation you would like to learn more about; e.g., hand building, sculpture, wheel work, surface decoration, glazes. Also, we’d like to hear your thoughts on artists that you’d like to see demo.
The meeting will be facilitated by Sandy Hilton, our FAA VP and Ceramic Enrichment Program Chair, and long time instructor at 48 Natoma. This will be a more informal meeting with plenty of opportunity for members to participate or to sit back and observe, if that is more comfortable for you!
