Folsom Arts Achievement Award for 2013

It’s with great honor to announce that Lori Anderson of the Folsom Arts Association has been awarded the Arts Achievement Award by the Folsom Arts and Cultural Commission.

The Folsom Arts Association is proud to announce that Lori Anderson will receive the Folsom Arts Achievement Award for 2013. The award, presented by the Folsom Arts and Cultural Commission, honors an organization or individual who goes above and beyond promoting arts and culture in our community. Lori exemplifies such a person with her enthusiasm and “can do” spirit.

Lori has consistently promoted Folsom Arts Association and art in general since she became active in the association several years ago. She tirelessly worked on Folsom Art Association’s behalf by serving as president, vice president and coordinator of artist demonstrators at monthly membership meetings. Lori is responsible for securing the Bank of America Gallery at Folsom Lake College for the annual membership shows as well as planning the receptions. In addition, she has coordinated bus trips to major San Francisco museums, planning every detail for the enjoyment of the participants. She also volunteered for the after school art program at Theodore Judah School. Lori can be found at the art receptions at the Gallery at 48 Natoma, cheerfully pouring wine for the guests and extolling the virtues of art and Folsom Art Association.

We are thrilled to honor Lori for her many contributions to the arts. A formal presentation was held on November 14, 2013, in the Folsom City Council Chambers. FAA members, friends and family were all in attendance.

Congratulations Lori!!
