Arts Scholarship Program

About the Folsom Arts Association’s Arts Scholarship Program

The FAA’s Arts Scholarship Program is intended to assist students pursuing a higher education in the visual arts. At this time, the FAA is coordinating with Folsom Lake College’s art scholarship program to benefit students enrolled at the college with a major or minor in art. Candidate applications are submitted to the college for preliminary screening to meet criteria established by the FAA, in consultation with the college, and a panel of FAA judges will decide who will receive the FAA Arts Scholarship Award.

FAA’s goal is to award at least one $1,000 scholarship annually (however, the exact amount is contingent upon member and community donations to the scholarship program, as well as special fundraising activities that FAA may conduct throughout the year).

Each winning applicant will be offered a free one-year membership in Folsom Arts Association, will be invited to present their work at FAA’s mid-year member Show-and-Tell meeting, and will be permitted to show a piece of their art in FAA’s annual Membership Show at The Gallery at 48 Natoma.
