THE ART OF LORI ANDERSON:  Lori
works in oils and acrylics & has shown her work at the Artful
Blend Gallery in Roseville, Lincoln Arts in Lincoln, the Gold Country
Fair in Auburn , The Procissi Wine Gallery, the Z Gallery and 48
Natoma Street in Folsom. She is currently represented by
the 404 Gallery at 404 Vernon Street in Roseville.A trip to Italy started it all. The light and architecture of Venice, the rolling hills and picturesque towns of Tuscany, moved her to want to capture the wonder of those locations with paint. Painting classes with Cleide Saunder, Howard Stover and Rhonda Egan at the School of light and Color followed. Lori is currently studying with Anita Wolff in Camino. “Some of my favorite artists are Cezanne, Bonnard, Thiebaud, and Greg Kondos. I love painting impressionistic landscapes and still life but, I think my favorite are large, vibrant flowers using lots of detail. Painting teaches me to go beyond merely
looking at something to really seeing it. It gives the most simple object new life
for me. Being able to capture what I see and feel is magical.
